For Dignity

It was 2016 when For Dignity was launched, the little shop helping stop human trafficking.

Its founder Heather Rayside just returned to Melbourne from living in Vietnam for seven years. She had seen firsthand the power of business to transform lives and communities for the better.

So it lit a fire in her belly to become part of the solution to the fastest growing global crime against humanity through business. A mission for creating real and lasting change for good. To empower regular consumers to have a choice to use your hard-earned income for good.

Today, For Dignity is more than a shop offering lovely fairtrade, eco-friendly and handmade products.

For Dignity’s collaboration with freedom businesses, which offer dignified employment to survivors of exploitation uses business solutions to tackle human trafficking.

Meet the Maker

Robert Gordon Pottery is a family-owned, Australian business. They have been making pottery since 1945 and handcrafted it with care; it can take up to 12 skilled workers to create one design from start to finish. They are made in Melbourne.
