ACCC Sumbission

Current Progress (as of 20 September 2024):

  • We are waiting to hear back from the ACCC regarding the submission

The ACCC is the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

On the 8th of July 2024, the released their Draft Guide to Sustainability Collaborations and Australian Competition Law. This draft guide had a heavy focus on the environmental dimension of sustainability and no focus on the social dimensions.

We believe that laws and regulations should facilitate, not hinder, business collaboration to address both environmental sustainability and human rights.

In response to this draft guide, we created a campaign to ask the ACCC to reconsider their sustainability regulations.

By the 26th of July, we had 173 individual signatories and 51 organisational signatories
