Online Safety Act Review

A recent study found that 13% of children in the Australian and Pacific region have been subjected to online sexual solicitation in the last 12 months. This creates a high number of people vulnerable to sexual exploitation online, which must be prevented.

We are signatories on the International Justice Mission (IJM) submission to the Australian Government to improve the online safety measures to prevent sexual exploitation of children. It includes key topics such as:

  1. Create an Enforceable Duty of Care Framework

  2. Broaden the Basic Online Safety Expectations

  3. Increase Penalties for Non-Compliance

  4. Improve Reports to Law Enforcement
